Marcia Franklin talks with New York Times columnist Tim Egan about The Worst Hard Time, a book for which he interviewed survivors of the Dust Bowl storms of the 1930s. The book won the National Book Award in 2006. Franklin and Egan also discuss the politics of the American West, a region he covers for the New York Times.
