Her sister discovered the theft early this morning, so it's a fair assumption that the oil was stolen last night.
-This is the third heating-oil theft this week and the third vulnerable victim.
Her sister said she's not insured.

I mean, they stole a whole tankful of oil.
You'd have a hard job transporting it in a family hatchback.

She's involved in a string of thefts.
-All right.
We need to bring her in.
-Her brother Isaac is her legal guardian.
We were in the same year in school, played rugby together.
-Have a word, will you?

-Um, what age is Polly?
-15.
-I assume that means she'll be in school.
-I'm ringing them now.
-This news, it's gonna hit Isaac hard.
Those kids are his whole life.
He was meant to be going to uni but had to put it off to look after the wee ones.

-These are just suspicions at the moment, Isaac.

-Well, according to witnesses, the person matching your description was seen accompanied by a young man.

We only have Polly's word for it that she was asleep when Mrs. Downey's heating oil was stolen.
-[ Sighs ] Uh, what-what happens now?
-We'll talk to the Youth Offending Team, see what the next steps are.
In the meantime, I'll make sure that Polly gets dropped back to school.
