A world of curiosities and surprises, where, every day, creatures big and small bite off more than they can chew.
(pea-rexes growling) Join us as we follow the adventures of Ginger, a young tricarrotops, and her unlikely little friends, three baby pea-rexes, Wasabi, Split, and Minty, as they discover the many wonders that exist in this vast valley!
- Woohoo!
This is Ginger and the "Vegesaurs"!
(gentle music) The Chillipede, (curious music) one of Vegesaur Valley's most exotic Vegesaurs.
Fast on its feet, spicy on the tongue, and completely irresistible to a baby Pea-Rex.
(Pea-Rexes mutter softly) (sneaky music) The key to a successful catch is the element of surprise.
(Wasabi slurps) (Split hiccups) (Pea-Rexes cry out) (bumbling music) (Wasabi grumbling) (Split hiccups) (Split hiccups again) - Oh, someone has the hiccups.
(Minty and Wasabi grumbling) Yeah, I figured that bit out.
Hmm...
I can't remember all the cures for hiccups, but I'm pretty sure you can burp them away.
- Ooh!
(Split takes big breath and burps) (hiccups continue) (Split burps, hiccups again) (Split belches then hiccups) (Split whimpers) - Wait, wait, wait.
It has to be a really long burp.
The longest burp you can manage.
First, you take a really deep, really big breath.
(Split inhales deeply) (whimsical music) Let it rip!
(Split burps very loudly) (dramatic music) (leaves rustling) Did it work?
(Split hiccups) Oh... (Wasabi hiccups) Oh, no, Wasabi!
Now you've got them, too!
(they both hiccup) (Minty inhales) (gasps) Wait!
I think it needs to be an upside-down burp!
- Huh?
(giggles) (Split breaks wind) (they laugh) No, you need to burp while you're upside-down.
(Split hiccups) (whimsical music) (Wasabi grunts) (they inhale deeply) (they give a long, echoey burp) (playful music) (they grunt and cry out) No more hiccups?
(all three Pea-Rexes hiccup) Minty!
Not you, too!
(they all hiccup wildly) (chaotic music) Right, this calls for a more extreme cure.
I have to scare you.
Are you up for it?
(they hiccup in unison) I'll take that as a yes.
(sneaky music) (leaves rustling) (Pea-Rexes gasp) Is this scary?
(Ginger roars timidly) (they hiccup) (Ginger sighs) What about now?
La-la-la-la-la!
- Blah.
- Nah.
- Boo!
(all gasp) What about now?
(Pea-Rexes pondering) (hiccups continue) Hmm... (Ginger grunts) (log splashes) Is this scary?
- [Pea-Rexes] Hmm... (water sloshes) - [Narrator] The Cucumberdile!
The young Tricarrotops and baby Pea-Rexes would make a tasty snack.
(Pea-Rexes whimpering) Luckily, it's just eaten.
(all hiccup) - Everyone into positions for an upside-down burp scare hiccup cure!
(they burp, long and loud) - [Narrator] Sleeping Watermelonsuchus are sensitive to disturbances on the water's surface.
- W-We did it!
- We did it!
- Yeah!
(they hiccup) - Hmm.
(gasps) Whoa!
(water ripples loudly) (dramatic music) (Watermelonsuchus yawns) - [Narrator] A Watermelonsuchus yawn creates suction more powerful than 800 vacuum cleaners.
- This is pretty scary!
(voice echoes) Whoa!
(log splashes) Whoa!
(Pea-Rexes gibbering) (gasps) You're cured!
(Pea-Rexes exclaim) Hmm?
(sniffs) Oh!
(Watermelonsuchus hiccups) Uh, sorry about that.
What are you like at burping upside-down?
(Watermelonsuchus breaks wind) (Cucumberdiles sloshing) (they laugh) (bright music) (gentle orchestral music) (exciting music) - [Narrator] Asparagusaurs are high in stringy fibre, which makes them incredibly fast and bendy.
Rarely seen outside of their cluster, Asparagusaurs are very jumpy when by themselves.
(Pea-Rex groaning) When startled Asparagusaurs freeze up, a defence mechanism that disguises them as trees.
(Pea-Rex laughing) But a good laugh always works to relax a tense Asparagusaur.
If you do help an Asparagusaur, they will often do something kind in return, and given their uniquely bendy bodies, this act of kindness can come in unexpected ways.
- Thanks for saving me.
Where'd you go?
- Ooh hoo, ooh hoo.
Ooh hoo, ooh hoo Ooh hoo, ooh hoo - [Narrator] It's the late Crunchiest period, when the world was dominated by the juiciest and freshest creatures ever to rule the planet, the mighty "Vegesaurs"!
(gentle orchestral music) (exciting music) Volcanic activities causing hot air to bubble up from the bottom of the lake, creating a natural bubble bath.
- I've never seen anything like it.
(water splashing) Oh, it's so nice and warm.
(dramatic music) - [Narrator] Cucumberdiles require much cooler temperatures.
- Oh, looks like we've got the place to ourselves now.
You thinking what I'm thinking?
(Ginger giggling) (water splashing) (Ginger giggling) Oh, yeah, this is the good stuff.
(playful music) I wonder where all these warm bubbles are coming from.
(playful music) They're all coming from the same place.
Does the water feel like it's getting warmer to you?
(playful music) (Ginger laughing) Hmm, what if the lake gets too warm?
Those creatures won't have anywhere to live.
(pea-rexes giggling) They might come live with us.
(pea-rexes gasping) We have to fix it.
(playful music) - [Narrator] Young tricarrotops have large lungs-- - Ready?
- [Narrator] And can hold their breath for a long time.
Pea-rexes can hold their breath for long periods too, (Wasabi farting) and sometimes that breath can exit through the wrong end.
(water bubbling) (playful music) A large underwater vent has opened, sending hot air into the lake.
(water bubbling) (playful music) The hot gassy bubbles move the water in opposite directions, creating a whirlpool.
(pea-rexes exclaiming) The downward current has made a plug out of this baby pea-rex.
(playful music) - Mm mm mm mm.
(playful music) (Ginger gasping) Hey, I need your help.
We need to make a really big whirlpool, so we're going to need some really big help.
(dramatic music) (water bubbling) Mm, mm.
(dramatic music) (playful music) - [Narrator] The faster they go, the more powerful the whirlpool.
(playful music) - Oh, I think it's working.
(Ginger taking a deep breath) (dramatic music) Mm, mm.
Mm.
(dramatic music) (playful music) - [Narrator] The lake has cooled, and the cucumberdiles can safely return to their home.
- We did it.
Well done, gang.
(pea-rexes sighing) I know, I know, the bubble bath is over, (gasping) or is it?
(playful music) (water bubbling) (pea-rexes giggling) (playful music) (water bubbling) (gentle orchestral music) (exciting music) - Let's sing a song together.
