Cops and cannabis: It’s a conundrum

Some mayors, lawmakers want to bar cannabis use for off-duty police officers

More than 12,000 recreational cannabis customers bought products on the first day of legal sales in NJ. Spending just shy of $2 million according to the state Cannabis Regulatory Commission. Roughly 64,000 ounces of products dispensed to patients and their caregivers. There’s a growing list of mayors and lawmakers getting behind an effort to bar cannabis use for off-duty cops.
